The shoes are painted with Angelus Leather paints, made to be used on flexible surfaces like shoes and clothes, without cracking. A coating of Angelus finisher is applied on top to protect the artwork, after which the shoes are treated with a water-and-stain repellant.
How to care for your shoes: If you wish, apply a new coat of water-and-stain repellent every now and then. Frequency depends on usage, once or twice a year should do it for most.

These are an early piece. Unfortunately that means they have artwork in a location that is likely to have higher amounts of wear and tear than the paint method can withstand. For this reason, they have a reduced price. Less durability than usual can be expected.
